Funding Sources:

  • 1988 – Association was self-sustaining through private donations, Delta Bingo revenues and Nevada ticket sales
  • 1995 – Ministry of Health and Long-term Care began to support BIA through funds for community outreach
  • 2008 – Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, through Central East Local Health Integration Network (CE LHIN) allocated funds to include day service in Peterborough, and to enhance community supports, with client service co-ordination
  • 2010 – CE LHIN allocated one-time funding to the relocation of the Association
  • 2014 – CE LHIN approved the transfer of the ABI day service program in the City of Kawartha Lakes (Lindsay) from the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) to Brain Injury Association Peterborough Region
  • 2018 – CE LHIN allocated funds for Coordinated Care Café
